At KLM Hospital, we allow one patient attendant to accompany the patient in IPD as well as OPD care. Attendant’s role is crucial; not all the time the patient can explain the problems or symptoms which can be taken over by an attendant, providing the pre-medical reports, getting the medicines from pharmacy, providing an overview of the patient history, active participation in the treatment by incorporating with the doctors and nurses, and understanding the instructions and explaining the same to the patient.
In the dormitory, the patient attendant is allowed to stay alongside the bed of the patient and in case of private ward or cabins, the attendant is provided with an additional bed at our hospital.
